About This Committee

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is the principal UN body tasked with combating illicit drug trafficking, transnational organised crime, and corruption. Established in 1997, UNODC operates in more than 150 countries, supporting governments in building resilient legal frameworks and effective criminal justice systems.

Delegates in this committee will engage with the hard questions that define modern international security, how do states cooperate across borders to dismantle criminal networks? What role do regional conventions play in harmonising drug policy? How can anti-corruption mechanisms be made enforceable without compromising sovereignty?

UNODC offers delegates a structured, policy-driven environment grounded in real UN conventions, including the UN Convention Against Transnational Organised Crime and the UN Convention Against Corruption. It is an ideal forum for those who want to engage seriously with international law while building their confidence in formal parliamentary debate.
