About This Committee

Fédération Internationale de Football Association

FIFA is the governing body of association football, futsal, and beach soccer, overseeing 211 member associations and administering the sport's most prestigious tournaments including the FIFA World Cup. Its mandate extends to developing the global game, enforcing regulations, and upholding the integrity of football administration, responsibilities that have been tested repeatedly by governance crises and institutional scandal.

In this crisis committee, delegates will step into the roles of FIFA's key institutional actors, council members, national association representatives, and reform advocates, responding to rapidly evolving scenarios involving financial misconduct, electoral fraud, and structural governance failures. Crisis directives will introduce new developments throughout each session, demanding real-time analysis and decisive action.

FIFA is best suited to intermediate delegates who have a foundational understanding of MUN procedure and are ready to apply that experience in a higher-pressure, less predictable environment. Delegates should come prepared to think strategically, shift positions as new information emerges, and negotiate under the scrutiny of global public opinion to save the integrity of the beautiful game.
